It's an overrated piece of shit. There are far better FPS's out there.
The console versions were bad ports. Plus, the mods are fucking awesome. Made one myself a while ago. I was planning to do another one, but kinda lost interest.
Not Custard :P
They killed my brother! What did you expect me to do, mow his lawn?
it was my first 3D GTA game, it had Tommy Vercetti as the main character instead of that whiny bitch CJ, it had a killer soundtrack, more gore, better weapon sounds, and the '80s time period was awesome. Oh yeah, and it had the Scarface mansion. Can't beat that.
Ah, nearly forgot. FUCKING SUPPLY LINES.
I hope they change the camera control to the one in later games. When you moved the right analogue stick, it went into first person view, which sucked. Also, manual aiming with all guns, please.
Was that your created character never looked as good as in the creation screen. They always looked out of place.
"I am a MGS fanyboy "
Might wanna fix that typo, bud.
The first game is one of my all time favourites. Story and voice acting was amazing, and the shooting was much better than in GTA.
With Skate 3, they've got a filmer dlc pack up for about 7 pounds, which lets you remove the watermark, upload higher res videos, and add filters that the first game had out of the fucking box. Oh, and they lock saves to justify selling dlc that unlocks everything for you.
GTA4 didn't end the same way as the other games. Did Tommy Vercetti lose someone close to him at the end of Vice City? No, he took over the city. GTA3 had a more ambiguous ending, and San Andreas ended on a pretty upbeat note. Not the case with GTA4. I think Rockstar summed it up well. Instead of going from rags to riches, you go from rags to slightly better rags.
Tranquilize them.
Man, you should've spent some time on the side stuff instead of rushing through :P
The Mexico missions bought the story to a standstill, with the only thing happening being John doing everyone's dirty work in order to find Escuella. Nowhere near as fun and developed as the New Austin part. Then in West Elizabeth, there weren't enough missions, and MacDougal was a pretty useless character (though pretty funny).
If he died, it would mean that they wouldn't try to go after his family.
Plus, it was important to the story, because it was symbolic of the death of the Old West. Well, in my opinion at least.
The sheer brass ballsiness of it.
One of my other favourites is the one from MGS3. Fucking devastating.
Pissed me off, with the ridiculous amount of enemies. Got lucky eventually, using the minigun to knock Devil Jin off the train.
Yeah, it was fun. Bad graphics and several flaws, but I liked the open nature of the story. The low budget shows a lot, but it sure as hell isn't as bad as they make it out to be.
I've got the game, jackass, and I've finished it several times. I'm saying that the lack of consequence takes away from the scene overall.
And holy shit, the bike chase was fucking hard, having to use mainly smoke grenades and the V-Ring shotgun, all the while hoping I wouldn't get hit by a stray bullet. Talk about trial and error. Still, at least they got rid of the bullshit regulation from previous games, where you had to save under 25 times to get the best rank.
Getting the chicken emblem was a bit of a pain aswell, mainly due to the fact that you need over 30 hours completion time. Found myself leaving...
